The Shelby Richter Fund has been designated a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization and all proceeds will be put towards Sarcoma Research Grants & Awareness as well as Educational Scholarships, which will consist of two $500.00 Scholarship Awards to be presented to students from Atlantic County public schools yearly.
 The mission of the Sarcoma Foundation of America is to act as an advocate for increased research to find new and beter therapies with which to treat patients with sarcoma. The SFA raises it's own funds to provide research grants to sarcoma researchers. The SFA also interacts with public (NCI, FDA, etc.), private for-profit (pharmaceutical companies, etc.) and private non-profit (e.g., philanthropic foundations) organizations to raise awareness of the treatment needs of sarcoma patients.
